The Abyssal Monster Returns

Adventurers from far and wide had gathered at the Abyssal Lake to offer food to the slumbering monster. Aquatic pets splashed in the waters as they ferried the edible items down into the depths of the lake, guided by Dex in its Pearlux-bubble helmet. 

Rose watched the operation unfold with a growing sense of hope in her heart. With everyone working Together, it really felt like this was going to work! 

Then Rose saw the surface of the water shiver. Something was happening down below! She rushed to the edge of the Abyssal Lake to peer into its crystalline depths.

The Monster was starting to stir!

The Abyssal Monster loosened its shining blue coils in a luxurious stretch. Without even opening its eyes, it yawned widely, then snapped up a big mouthful of the food the Adventurers and their pets had brought. 

The Monster chewed thoughtfully for a moment — and its eyes flew open! It swam in a tight loop, gobbling up all the offered food with visible delight. 

Rose looked on with concern, knowing that the Monster’s moods have never been predictable. Underwater, Dex watched the Abyssal Monster warily, too, treading water with its claws as the Monster swam closer.

The Monster swam closer…and closer…

In just a moment, it was right next to Dex! The Harlowin shied away slightly, nervous of the Monster’s hunger and its sharp teeth. But the Monster did nothing more than bump its snout against Dex’s in a gentle boop. 

As Dex — and Rose, far above — watched, the Monster performed a showy twirl and ended up floating playfully upside down, eyes fixed hopefully on Dex and the other pets who had been helping deliver food to the depths. 

Now that it was fed, it clearly wanted to Play!

Dex took the Monster up on its invitation, paddling all around the Monster’s head in a twirling dance. Together, they swam back up toward the surface. Dex broke the surface with a mighty flap of its wings, soaring up toward the twilight sky. The Abyssal Monster leapt up after it joyfully, flying in a graceful arc before splashing back into its home. 

“You’ve made a new friend, Dex!” Rose greeted her friend as the Harlowin flew back down to the shore. “The Monster needed food — but what it really wanted was company.”

The duo watched the Monster play with the Adventurers’ pets in the Lake as the sun slowly continued to set over the Azure Abyss.

Balance Restored To The Abyssal Lake: Befriend The Monster!

Now that the Abyssal Monster has awakened, Rose has discovered what the protector of the Lake was truly looking for! The Monster is lonely in its watery home, but you can send your pets to befriend it.

When the Monster is awake, you can leave your pet with it for a period of time to play and socialize. Only water dwelling pets are naturally capable of spending time with the Monster, but with the help of an equipped Pearlux Minimal, any pet can spend time in the Lake!

As a Gift in exchange for spending time with it, the Monster will give you a gift when you return to collect your pet. 

But playing with a pet can be Exhausting! Once you collect your pet, the Monster will fall asleep until it is ready to play again. You can wait until it Awakens naturally if you want, but you can also urge it to wake faster by offering food!

Rose and Skylar have studied the Monster’s nature and the natural balance of the lake now that the Monster has returned to its natural habits. Together, they have learned that the Lake’s fish population is only active while the Monster is asleep. Fishing and Gathering at the Abyssal Lake are only available while the Monster is Hibernating.

The Abyssal Monster’s natural cycle of play and rest has been restored — all thanks to the Adventurers!

Quest QoL Update

Gathering Bounty Quests now only ask for items that have a rarity of; Common, Uncommon and Rare. Any item from Gathering, Fishing and Berry Collecting with one of these rarities has been added to the request pool.

Culinary Cravings Quests request items have been adjusted, Frozen Yogurt, Santae Sticks and Milkshakes have been added to the request pool.

Terrible Toymaker Quest request items have been adjusted, Robot Wispyr Toy, Gooppie Goo, Gooppie Goo Slime and Magical Bubbles are now being asked for. Toy Swords are now stocking in Glimmers Toy Shop. Plushie Machine Tokens now reward more often.

Prices in all NPC shops have been adjusted.
