Contemplating The Mysteries Of The Abyssal Lake

Eldrin and Skylar were deep in conversation over a pile of gleaming Twilight Crystals. The crystals and many pages of notes were spread out over a table, along with various tools that the duo were using to get a closer look at the Crystals.

"There is clearly Magical energy locked inside these crystals," Eldrin said. "But I still don't understand how it can be used, or extracted."

"Well," Skylar sighed. "It's clear that just breaking it or powdering it isn't going to work. We could try Grinding one into a lens? Maybe the crystals can Focus light."

"Hmm," Eldrin hummed thoughtfully. "Light -- light may just have something to do with it. Or, perhaps the ore might resonate with other, different kinds of crystals, if we arranged them in the appropriate configuration?"

The conversation and Experiments continued throughout the day, without much progress. Eventually, Skylar and Eldrin decided to take a break and step outside to watch the Sun Set over the Abyssal Lake. Rose was sitting by the lake shore, going over her own notes about the history and habits of the Abyssal Monster.

The setting sun sent rays of Dusky color sparkling over the water's surface, making the entire Lake look like it was made of one giant Twilight Crystal. The trio watched the Beautiful sight in awed silence, still thinking hard about the magical Mystery at hand.

"I do have one unfortunate suspicion," Eldrin said after a while, with a sigh. "Whatever magic is locked within the crystals, I do not think they are the cure for the Monster's condition. While both the Abyssal Monster and the Twilight Crystal reside within the Lake, I do not believe the crystals are to blame for the Monster's Disappearance."

"I think you're right, Eldrin," Rose replied, looking up from her research notes. "The more I look into it, the more I think the Monster's hibernation might be part of a Natural cycle. But that does give me one more idea..." She smiled.

"If I'm right, the Monster is Hibernating to conserve energy. The Ancient records indicate that it's capable of sleeping for Years to restore its vitality. But --" Rose grinned "-- it won't need to sleep if we can provide that energy another way! Or, at least that's the theory."

"So what do you think we should do?" asked Skylar.

"I have an idea,"  said Rose, "but we'll need the Adventurers' help."

Feed The Abyssal Monster To Awaken It

"Adventurers -- I think the Abyssal Monster needs food, and lots of it!

"I know Adventurers have been giving small offerings to the Monster for ages, but this needs to be a meal on a different scale entirely. To entice it to come out of Hibernation, we need to offer it as much food as we possibly can.

Will you throw edible items into the Abyssal Lake for the Monster? If we can give it enough, I think it will Wake!"
