Incredible Kickstarter Progress
The official Santae Kickstarter is underway now, and we are absolutely thrilled at the outpouring of support from our community. Not only was our goal fully funded in less than half an hour, we’ve also already achieved two of our exciting stretch goals!
We’ve now unlocked two new pet colors and five HTML5 games — and our next stretch goal, a brand new pet species, is right around the corner!
Between all the exciting backer tiers and a rich selection of available add-ons, there’s something for every Santarian to enjoy. We’ve even recently expanded the Kickstarter add-ons to allow you to select the color of your choice when adding Phasmic, Seamso, or Kyree figurines!

Maybe it’s because of all the excitement across Santae recently, but Merick tells us he’s spotted a rare sight. A herd of Celebrasaurus is on the move!
These rare Minimals originally appeared back when our first 200 alpha testers started their adventures in Santae. Now, with more than ten times as many Santarians around, there’s more reason to celebrate than ever.
Luckily, Merick has been able to tame a Celebrasaurus herd — and he’s sending one Celebrasaurus to each of you as a big thank you for everything you do to make Santae amazing!
This celebratory Minimal will be waiting in your sanMail inbox when we return after the Alpha Wipe!
Don’t Forget: Alpha Wipe Tomorrow
Big changes are on the horizon, adventurers! The end of Santae’s Alpha testing period is near.
Tomorrow we will be closing the site to perform the Alpha Wipe. All accounts will be wiped of their content, but you will keep your username and user ID.
After the wipe, select rollover items will be reissued to your account. Check the official rollover policy to confirm which items will return to you!
When we return, testing will resume, but with one big difference: Everything you create and earn on your account after the Alpha Wipe is yours to keep forever!
Thank you again for everything you do to make Santae so amazing. We’ll see you on the other side of the Alpha Wipe!
Pet Name Changes
When Santae re-opens its doors to Alpha Testers, you'll be able to create your pets again, with one unique change - Pet Names will no longer be required to be unique!
Instead, a new system will be applied where the "first" pet of a given name will receive a First Edition badge on their pet profile. This applies to Pet Creation, hatched Harlowin Eggs and Evolved Quibblets!
This is purely aesthetic and has no gameplay-changing or functional use!
We've also taken your feedback about this feature onboard, and while we know most people are excited for it, there are some who would prefer not to see the first edition badges on pets.
With that in mind, we have made available a new setting that you will be able to toggle when you return after the wipe - the ability to turn these badges off.
With them turned off, you wont see them on your own, or others profiles. We hope this is a fair compromise to allow all members of our community to have the experience they want when playing Santae!
We will still be available on discord during the downtime, and will keep everyone updated when we know a time that Santae will reopen!
Referral Contest Update
Thank you for your patience with the referral prizes! Due to the overwhelming number of referrals to process, it took us some time to get everything ready, as we want these referrals to count on your on-site stats for the future too!
Verified referrals you received will award you one random referral prize (up to 8!) for each referral! You'll be able to receive those and the "Bring a Friend" badge for your profile as soon as we return from the alpha wipe!
Additionally, many referrals that we received were for usernames that did not match an account on site, and after much internal discussion we have decided to implement a "claim" system.
You'll be able to work with our Admin Team to determine if you are eligible for an unassigned referral (for example if someone used your discord handle instead of your onsite username etc). More information on that will be shared once we're back from the Alpha Wipe!
