The True Power Of The Resurrection Machine Is Unleashed

"I think it is ready," Orion announced, looking up from the delicate mechanisms within the resurrection machine. He carefully replaced the outer panel before standing up, carefully examining the machine to check if anything looked amiss. But the powered-up machine was still glowing with faint golden light and humming softly. Everything seemed to be working perfectly!

"Does that mean...?" Rose gasped. Catching her excitement, her Harlowin companion Dex lifted its head and let out a curious grumble.

"Yes," Orion confirmed. "It is time to place the completed fossil within...and see what happens."

Rose and Orion worked together to lift the Pheros fossil and set it down inside the machine.

Completed Pheros Fossil

As the fossil settled into place, the resurrection machine roared to life! Its glow filled the room with light and crackling energy, forcing Orion and Rose to take a half-step back.

A display blinked on, flashing a rapid series of numerals before settling to display a single glowing number. "72 hours," Orion read, peering at the timer. "That is the estimated time before the machine's work is finished. Slightly longer than I had hoped..."

Rose dutifully scribbled down the figure, keeping careful notes about the machine's operation. "I bet we could speed it along," she remarked. "The resurrection machine has proved remarkably able to resonate with the magic of mined materials. Let's see if some Adventurers have any to spare!"

Orion and Rose opened the laboratory's doors to any and all curious Adventurers who wanted a glimpse at the mysterious resurrection machine. They collected donations of ores from any Adventurers willing to share the spoils of their Mining expeditions.

Gleaming, multifaceted Eldertree Ore, moss-coated Mosstone Ore -- no matter the type, when the ores were placed on the resurrection machine's plates, the device was able to reduce them to energy that helped reduce the time needed for it to complete its miraculous scientific process.

As the process proceeded, the fossil inside began to shift and glow. Before long, a ghostly outline of a figure was visible inside the resurrection machine's tank. The atmosphere within the lab buzzed with anticipation.

Finally, the timer was nearly complete. Orion's face was composed, but he could feel his heart beating hard in time with the countdown as the last few seconds ticked away. 3...2...1...

The machine surged with light, bathing the laboratory in a golden glow. Inside the chamber, the ghostly silhouette began to solidify. Orion could see the feathered crest, the clawed limbs...A Pheros was taking form!

"Fascinating," Orion breathed, pressing his face close to the glass to admire the creature within. It was still more magic than flesh, slightly translucent and flickering with mystical energy. "The experiment was a success -- but the Pheros essence still looks unstable. I believe it will change color if left alone for long enough... We need to place a Petrastone Prism Shard to stabilise it's form! Until then - it will keep randomly changing color!"

With a trembling, cautious hand, Orion placed a Petrastone Prism Shard on the resurrection machine that would finalize the process and release the Pheros from the magical chamber. The machine hissed and whirred, then dimmed -- every ounce of power that was imbued into it had been spent to give life to the creature inside.

A soft amber glow of residual magic filled the lab as the chamber swung open and a creature that hadn't been seen in Santae for millennia stuck its snout outside.

The Pheros let out a little trill as it leaped lightly out into the laboratory, landing gracefully on its two clawed feet. Its crested head swiveled back and forth at the end of its long neck as it examined its new surroundings, eyes flashing with bright curiosity. The Pheros shook itself, fluffing out its coat before smoothing its feathers back out and dipping into a luxurious stretch.

It was an ancient being -- living, breathing, and moving among the Adventurers of Santae again!

"Incredible!" Orion said. He held out a cautious hand toward the Pheros, palm-up. The ancient creature stepped closer, delicately sniffing his fingertips, then pressed its head against Orion's hand. Orion petted the soft feathers of its crest, drawing a contented purring trill from the Pheros.

"You will make an excellent research partner," Orion smiled down at the Pheros, which tilted its head curiously. "And perhaps there are more ancient creatures waiting to be discovered out there -- besides yourself, my new friend!"

Orion's grin widened. "Let's continue the search, together!"

A Triumph Of Science And Magic

The resurrection machine was a success, Adventurers! Orion will continue to supervise the lab, allowing you to access the mystical device and provide the materials to resurrect a fossil companion of your own.

Here is everything you need to know about the process of utilizing the Resurrection Machine:

Begin by placing a Petrastone Relic within the machine to activate it!

Petrastone Relic

24x Petrastone Amber must be added to fully power the machine. You will collect Petrastone Residue as a by-product of fusing the Petrastone Amber you add. Once the machine is fully powered, you may either leave it running for the next phase, or Power Down to produce additional Petrastone Residue. Note that if you power the machine down, you will need an additional Petrastone Relic to reactive it!

When the machine is fully powered, you may place a completed fossil inside to begin the resurrection process. Unassisted, the process takes 72 hours to produce a Pheros. You can reduce this cooldown by submitting ore items to the machine.

Completed Pheros Fossil

After the timer has finished counting down, the Pheros is ready to be collected -- but as long as it remains within the resurrection machine's chamber, its essence is still unstable. This means that each hour, its color will change. You can wait for as long as you want at this stage for a Pheros of your desired color to appear! Once you see the one you want, insert a Petrified Prism Shard to stabilize the pet!

At the final step, you must make a choice: To Adopt the Pheros, or take home a Divine Figurine!

Petrastone Residue Makes Fossil Cavern Glow

While Orion and Rose compared notes about the successful activation of the resurrection machine, and proceeded with calibrating the machine's delicate mechanisms, Vespera decided to return to Echoes Cavern. The experiments at the laboratory had produced some seriously powerful magical energies, and she was curious to see if the ecosystem of the cave had been affected.

Vespera, Ripple, and River set off together for the depths of the caves. The grand main chamber of Echoes Cavern looked just the same as ever, full of craggy walls and mirror-like pools. But as Vespera proceeded deeper inside, the air began to feel different -- charged, almost like a thunderstorm was brewing.

As she entered the Fossil Chamber, she could immediately tell what had changed. The same golden glow that powered the resurrection machine was thick in the air here. The powerful ancient energy had enchanted the entire chamber, causing glowing golden magical runes to spring to life on the walls -- and making the smooth pedestal in front of the Fossil Wall glow!

Vespera slowly approached the pedestal. "Such powerful magic..." she muttered. "Could it be harnessed?"

Struck with inspiration, she dug into her pack and withdrew her supply of Petrastone Residue. The sparkling dust shifted and vibrated in her cupped hands, reacting strongly to the magic of the room. Vespera placed the Petrastone Residue on the pedestal.

Immediately, a swirl of golden energy whipped up out of nowhere, capturing the Petrastone Residue in a miniature tornado that danced on top of the pedestal. It glowed brighter and brighter, absorbing the ancient magic from the Fossil Chamber's prehistoric walls.

If the magical energy of the dust wasn't contained somehow, Vespera worried that it would swirl itself apart and vanish. She took out an Empty Shimmer Dust Jar and placed it onto the pedestal, hoping to direct the flow of magic into the small glass vessel.

The enchanted Petrastone Residue began to swirl down into the jar like water into a drain. As the torrent of magic subsided, the materials merged and re-materialized as something entirely new: A jar of Petrastone Shimmer Dust!

Petrastone Shimmer Dust Can Now Be Crafted
