Harvesting Overhauls, Luffin Hollow & Minimal Ranch!

Several of Santae’s familiar activities have received major updates! Cooking, Gathering, Mining, Fishing and Foraging have been overhauled with updated layouts, new animations and more interactive gameplay. We have also expanded Luffin Hollow and are excited to release Version 1 of the animated Minimal Ranch!

Harvesting Features Overhauled!

The location lists for all five activities have been redesigned to show the actual places you will be visiting. You can now search destinations, filter by availability and view your discovery progress, skill information and current activity status before setting out. Locations with an adventure in progress or rewards ready to collect are also easier to identify.

Leveling has been updated! Your skill level now plays a greater role in your progress, with item and recipe requirements giving you new unlocks to work toward. Equipment requirements remain important as well, so remember to bring the appropriate supplies for your adventure!

Cooking Gets Interactive

Cooking now includes preparation, heat control and finishing stages, allowing you to take a more active role in creating your dishes. Timing your actions and managing the heat can improve your results, with Great and Perfect dishes awarding additional experience. Preparing three Perfect versions of a dish will also allow you to master it!

Recipes now show their level requirements, along with your current Cooking progress and upcoming unlocks. Kindling has received updated animations using its familiar containers, allowing you to see your supplies and watch them pour into the fire when used. Check Price is also available to help you find ingredients and other cooking supplies.

Gathering Adventures

Gathering now lets you choose a search focus and help your pet investigate scouting spots throughout the location. Follow the animated gold diamonds and repeat the light sequences to earn bonuses during your trip. These activities are optional, so you can still send your pet gathering and return when they are ready.

Your best available pouch is selected automatically when preparing a new trip, although you can choose another before starting. Both your Gathering level and pouch capacity affect which items you can discover, giving you more to work toward as you explore. 

Mining Adventures

Mining has received an interactive excavation experience, allowing you to chip away at the rock and uncover buried materials. Plan your digging carefully and make the most of your equipment as you work to recover your finds before the excavation ends!

Mining also includes level and equipment requirements for its materials, along with updated discovery information and clearer item artwork where HD images are available. Once your adventure is complete, your recovered items animate into the mining cart before it rolls away with your haul.

Fishing Expanded

Fishing now features interactive casting and hooking, with your timing, Fishing level and rod affecting your chances of landing a catch. Your rod also determines how many attempts you have during the trip. Players who prefer a more relaxed experience can use Gentle mode for assisted hooking.

The Fishing Journal has been expanded to show the levels required for different catches, which items are currently available to you and what you can unlock next. Undiscovered catches retain their silhouettes, while previous discoveries remain recorded as you continue building your collection.

Foraging Refreshed

The Berry Tree and Shadow Berry Tree have received updated scenes, animated picking, drifting sparkles and falling leaves. Growth stages now reflect the remaining wait, including time reductions from fertilizer, making it easier to follow each tree’s progress.

Your berry journals continue to display silhouettes for undiscovered berries, and a Show All option has been added for easier browsing. The updated Foraging list also makes it easier to see which location is ready for another visit.

Luffin Hollow Upgraded!

Luffin Hollow has received new animations and interactions throughout the encounter. From tossing a fish into the pool to sharing Gingerroot Cookies with a visiting Luffin, the experience now includes more movement, reactions and details to discover.

Three optional activities, Chase Lights, Crystal Echoes and Gentle Reassurance. These give you more ways to spend time with your visitor. A saved Field Journal records your discovered colors, bonding milestones and daily activity stamps, while the Supplies options help you prepare for your next visit.

Animated Minimal Ranch Version 1 now Released!

Your Minimals now have an animated home of their own! Minimal Ranch allows you to watch your minimals wander, play together and rest while you care for them. Feed, groom and play with your Minimals, build their affection and teach them tricks as you spend time together.

Playtime includes Fetch, Hide-and-Seek, Meadow Trail and Chasing Sparkles. You can also personalize your ranch with Dreamscapes, expand your space and work toward unlocking the nursery. Eligible pairs can breed, allowing you to care for their eggs and welcome new hatchlings into the ranch.

Photo Mode lets you capture your favorite moments, and ranch sharing allows other players to visit. You can also choose whether visitors may interact with your Minimals. This is the first release of the animated Minimal Ranch, and we look forward to seeing everyone settle into their new homes!

Animated Weather Across Santae!

The main site banner is now fully integrated with Santae’s animated weather system! You will notice new animations when it’s sunny, raining, snowing and storming.

As the weather changes across Santae, the banner changes with it, as you explore!

News Page Updated & Comments Added!

The News page has received a refreshed layout, with wider articles on desktop, improved mobile formatting and updated colors for both light and dark modes. News and Patch Notes now include keyword search, with buttons at the top to switch between them. Searching and browsing update the content without a full page refresh.

You can also comment directly beneath news posts! Comments use the familiar style of Mail, displaying player avatars, linked usernames, staff labels and timestamps alongside each message.
