Twilight Pet Color - Pre-Release Reveal!
In anticipation of our upcoming Community Event (Read our first post here!), we are excited to reveal another pet color - Twilight! The origins and lore surrounding this special pet color will be revealed during the event which is planned to conclude before Alpha Ends... but in the mean time, we wanted to reward all our Alpha Testers with an early reveal to share in our excitement!
The following pets are the first revealed to be able to be transformed into the Twilight form:
We're going to be sending out TWO of these Shimmer Dusts to all users! You'll receive one within the next few minutes - watch out for your sanMail inbox!
Additionally, we'll be sending out a newsletter that will be sent within the next 24 hours with updates about Santae, along with a new Giveaway Link to claim your own Twilight Shimmer Dust!
Make sure you have Newsletters toggled on in your personal preferences, and that your email is up-to-date, in order to receive your email!
Additionally, as with all Drava, the Twilight and Earthbound Divine Figurines have been added to the Cash Shop and Dust Shop through the end of Alpha. (And will return in January 2025 along with the rest of the colors!)

Rollover + Referral Prizes Update
There have been a number of users that encountered some issues with their inventory items during the Alpha Wipe. While we have rectified most users who have reached out to us, there are just a few more left, and we are extremely grateful for your patience during this time while we make everything right!
Once we have resolved this, we intend to be sending out Referral Prizes at the start of this upcoming week! Keep an eye out for the notification!
Kickstarter Journey Update - Stretch Goal Pets Reveal!
We are officially at our 1 week mark into our Kickstarter Journey, and what an incredible journey it has been so far. Our absolutely wonderful community never ceases to amaze us! Thanks to the outpouring of love and support, not only were we fully funded in 28 minutes, we have officially unlocked SIX of our stretch goals and are closing in on the seventh! We can hardly believe the momentum, and we are beyond grateful to every single one of you for making this possible. Santae is truly coming to life in ways we never imagined possible this soon, all thanks to YOU ALL!
We’re also excited to announce that we’ve added another new stretch goal! At the $65k mark, we will be unlocking a Dynamic Animated Weather & Seasons System that will transform the world of Santae. This feature will introduce animated weather changes as well as animated seasonal effects that directly influence gameplay and provide a stunning immersive experience. Imagine your adventures under sun, snow, or rain—each weather change will bring new events, bonuses, and challenges, making Santae feel even more alive!
(We also, as with our current animations, will be adding the toggle feature to turn any animations off to only showcase the static images for any players with sensitivities.)
And now, for a formal reveal… the completed Velotra! You’ve all been eagerly awaiting this, and we are thrilled to present the completed pose and rendering of this dino pet species! The Velotra is officially Santae's first dinosaur-inspired pet, and we couldn’t be more excited to see it roam the world alongside your beloved companions. This is a huge milestone, made possible only by the continuous overwhelming support from this incredible community. We can’t wait to see which pets will join the Velotra next!
Speaking of new pets, the most recently unlocked pet species will be revealed soon, so stay tuned!
We are excited to announce the Official Name of this newly unlocked pet species has been chosen: Zephera, which will become our 27th Pet Species to come to the ever growing world of Santae!
We know you’re all eager to meet this latest addition, and we promise it will be worth the wait. Keep an eye out for updates as we get closer to the official reveal.

Mystery Of The Missing Abyssal Monster
Something suddenly felt wrong in the Azure Abyss.
The Seeker of Knowledge walked slowly around the edge of the mirror-like lake, pondering what has taken place. The Abyssal Monster
wasn't swimming around on the surface, It wasn't splashing near the
shore where Adventurers would sometimes gather to feed it. Nor, was it
visible anywhere deeper in the lake -- at least, it wasn't anywhere the Seeker could see.
The Monster had disappeared!
The Seeker, ever patient, waited as day turned to evening, and then to a luminous star-studded night. Still, the Abyssal Monster didn't stir.
Something most certainly has to have caused this sudden change. The Seeker of Knowledge was highly educated, however none of the ancient text he had studied made any mention of the Abyssal Monster suddenly vanishing with no clear cause.
He would have to call in an expert to help uncover this sudden mystery. The Seeker of Knowledge took out his mystical quill and began to write a letter.
Rose Clearwater - Creature Expert
A Canary Harlowin bounded up to Rose's desk with an envelope nestled between its teeth.
"What do you have there Dex? It sure is an odd time of the day to get mail." Rose looked up from her work and extended a hand to her most noble companion. "Dex, now give it here, please."
The Harlowin handed the note over and accepted a scratch under the chin from Rose with a pleased grumble. Rose and Dex had been inseparable ever since Rose had taken a trip to the Lava Caves. The trip had only been planned to observe the site of great academic interest --
but then she stumbled upon a nest with a beautiful Canary Egg that seemed to have been left behind! She decided to take it back for further research, however the egg began to hatch while she was still within the Caves, and ever since, Rose and Dex are never far apart. The ancient texts are certainly true, Harlowins are bonded to one their entire life.
Even as a hatchling, Dex was a wonderful assistant, always helping in anyway it could. Rose held the envelope out so that Dex could carefully tear one edge open with a sharp fang. No need for a letter opener when you have a Harlowin friend!
"Thank you, Dex! Now, let's see," Rose said. She adjusted her glasses as she withdrew the letter and began to read:
"To the esteemed scholar Rose Clearwater,
I am writing to inform you of the apparent disappearance of the Abyssal Monster within the Azure Abyss.
In all my years of observations, I have never seen this happen. As an
expert in mythological creatures of all kinds, I am reaching out to you for expert guidance and extending an offer to help investigate the vanished Monster?
Sincerely,
Eldrin - the Seeker of Knowledge"
Rose gasped "I thought this was only in tales of the past - there is one text I do remember reading through that has ever mentioned this happening, but that was over 250 years ago...Now this was interesting -- not to mention alarming!
It was time to take a trip to the Azure Abyss and help Eldrin uncover this alarming mystery.
The Earth's Majesty Captured In Brand-New Shimmer Dust
As the Summoner of the Arcane Conclave Faction, Vivian had seen many beautiful and magical Shimmer Dust be created in her time -- but this was something truly special.
She always admired the neat rows of the shimmer dust jars lined up on the shelves of her shop.. All the familiar, wonderful hues were in their places. Vibrant Crimson, bright Cerulean, sunny Canary, and all the rest shimmered and sparkled, sending speckles of colorful light dancing around the shop. As Vivian counted her stock, everything seemed to be in order -- except for one, the stock of Prismatic dust looked a strangely low, and Vivian feared she would run out soon.
She moved on as a new supply would surely be coming soon. Her usual stock wasn't her focus for the moment though. It had been a long time since the Conclave had created a new type of Shimmer Dust. But today, Eldenar, Arch-Mage of the Conclave - the original creator of the very first Shimmer Dust - had sent her something she had never witnessed before. "Could this be?" She wondered. "It is!" She exclaimed, "After all these years, the Conclave has created a new Shimmer Dust!"
Vivian had just the place for these newly created shimmer dusts. She arrived at the last shelf in the row, where her new acquisition was waiting for Adventurers to buy. The jars contained dust that sparkled with rich, earthy tones and an occasional flash of brilliant sapphire.
The new Earthbound Shimmer Dust was sure to unlock brand-new potential for colorful pet transformations!

Abundant Growth At The Great Berry Tree
Flora Greenleaf has been helping Adventurers tend to the Great Berry Tree for weeks now -- and the Tree is flourishing!
Thanks to all the fertilizer Adventurers have nourished the tree with, it is growing and replenishing faster than ever. Different Baskets will still result in different growth times, however Adventurers should find the Berries grow much faster than previously!
Of course, you can still encourage the Tree to grow even faster by using fertilizer from Flora's shop, Leaf & Petal!
Flora has been experimenting with the composition of the fertilizer in her shop to make it more effective than ever. Every fertilizer item now has a minimum cap in place to help reduce frustration when fertilizing the Tree while there is a small amount of time left in the cooldown.
Visit Flora at Leaf & Petal to get all the supplies you will need. Happy berry hunting!
The Santae Kickstarter Continues!
The Official Santae Kickstarter Campaign is going strong! Thanks to this communities incredible support, we've now unlocked SIX of our exciting stretch goals!
We just hit our $60,000 milestone and unlocked the Customizable Club System!
This feature will allow players to create, manage, and customize their own clubs within the game. Clubs can serve as communities where members can gather, coordinate activities, and share exclusive content. Whether for socializing, trading, or collaborative quests, this system will enhance how players connect and interact, fostering an amazing community experience.
We're so excited to see what kinds of exciting, vibrant clubs you all will create when the customizable club system becomes a reality!
The entire Santae Team has been blown away by the community's Love and Support throughout the first full week of the Kickstarter campaign! With three weeks left to go, there's plenty of time to spread the word and continue to help make Santae an even more magical place.

Captain Finn goes fishing
Captain Finn hammered a nail into the door frame of Cast & Catch so that he could hang a sign out front. Standing back with his hands on his hips, he admired his handiwork: The sign read "Gone Fishing."
"That ought to do it," Finn muttered to himself. He didn't plan to be gone from the shop long, but ever since he heard about Skylar's recent research, Captain Finn had been curious about something.
According to the researcher, Quibbspawn were slowly disappearing from the usual Fishing Spots across Santae. Captain Finn couldn't disagree -- he had noticed a steady decline in the strange jelly-like eggs, too! But he could also remember the reports about Skylar's other discovery: The mysterious Cove just outside of Sanctuary.
If Captain Finn knew one thing, it was that all kinds of amazing sea creatures thrive in pristine, sheltered spaces like that. And it would probably be doubly good now that Adventurers had been diligently fishing up trash for several weeks and cleaning the waters of Santae even more!
Captain Finn rigged up his boat and set sail for Quibbit Cove.
A few hours later, Captain Finn disembarked and made his careful way into the cave that sheltered the pool at Quibbit Cove. He scattered some bait into the cool green water, hefted his Elite Fishing Rod, and began to wait...
A catch! Captain Finn pulled a wiggling Quibblet from the water. Casting his line again, he pulled up a couple of Quibbspawn.
"I knew it!" Captain Finn proclaimed.
"Adventurers, this here Cove is a fine fishing spot. Treat these water with respect, and I'm sure they'll be kind to ye in turn!"
Cast your line at Quibbit Cove
Santae's newest Fishing location is Quibbit Cove! Stock up on fishing gear at Cast & Catch and try your hand at reeling in the new fish at this location.
Captain Finn has keen instincts when it comes to the nature of a good fishing spot. He thinks that Adventurers fishing at Quibbit Cove will have a chance to fish up Quibbspawn there all year round! He's also certain that the luckiest anglers might even capture a Quibblet from the cove's deepest waters.
Adventurers can visit during the daytime (Check the Santae header banner!) to see what they can reel in!
Quibblets can still be placed here to evolve - but only at night!
Additional Privacy Settings
Now that our community has grown so large, we have implemented some additional tools to protect those that wish to enjoy Santae privately.
Turning off Receive Items from Other Users will prevent users from sending you items via their inventory. You will still be able to receive award items from Santae Admins.
Turning off Receive sanMail from Non-Staff will prevent other users from sending you a sanMail or replying to an ongoing conversation. Note: Staff can still sanMail you but will only ever message in an official capacity.
Turning off Show Online Status will hide your username from the "Online List" in addition to not displaying your online status on your user profile!
Visit your Settings Page today to be able to configure your preferences.

Summer Serenade
Silvershade wiped a few drops of sweat from their brow. The sun was beating down hard on the Minimal Ranch. Summer was nearing its end, but it's always Hot in the Lani Archipelago!
Even getting started with chores at sunrise wasn't enough to totally
beat the heat. First, all the Minimals had to be fed and watered. Then
there was some cleaning to do. By the time Silvershade was ready for their last chore -- a small repair to a section of fence around the Ranch -- it was practically noon.
Nothing sounded better than a cool drink of water and a nap in the shade, but the care of these Minimals was their responsibility. Silvershade wasn't going to let a little summer sun get in the way of making the Ranch as safe and comfortable as possible for them!
Silvershade hefted their tools and set off toward the broken fence. They didn't notice a trio of Minimals following in their wake.
They got to work. At first Silvershade felt like the tedious task was going to take forever, but then, slowly, they felt their mood start to lift. They found themself humming along to a sweet, echoing melody. Where was that delightful tune coming from? Glancing up, Silvershade discovered the culprit: An Echoflute perched in a nearby tree, singing a beautiful rhythmic melody that kept time with the strikes of Silvershade's hammer.
"Well isn't that sweet of you!" Silvershade smiled up at the bird Minimal, cheered up by the company. They kept humming along in harmony as they kept working -- but music or no music, it was still miserably Hot.
Just when they felt like they would have to give up and finish the task tomorrow, Silvershade noticed it had suddenly cooled off. A fresh, cool breeze danced around them. How could that be? They looked up: The sky above was still a clear, searing blue, and the sun was still beating down.
They looked down. Two Minimals -- a pale lynx with bright blue eyes and a small ram with spiraling horns -- were sitting at their feet.
As Silvershade watched, the Spirehorn with its soft emerald fur, gave a small hop and shook its head, releasing a soft soothing chime that complemented the Echoflute's melody. The Chillynx twitched its nose and yawned; the cool air seemed to be wafting from its icicle-like whiskers.
"That's just what I needed!" Silvershade was grinning now. The last of the repair work went by much faster with the cool sanctuary and soothing music provided by Silvershade's Minimal companions.
Silvershade tossed the Echoflute, Spirehorn, and Chillynx a handful of treats as they finished up their work and started the walk back toward home. "Thanks, little fellas," Silvershade said. "I know it's my job to take care of you -- but sometimes it's y'all who take care of me!"
"Adventurers, I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for more Minimals like these. If you're looking for an Echoflute, Spirehorn, or Chillynx of your own, make sure to stop by the Minimal Ranch and I'll get ya pointed in the right direction!"
Jubilasaur Celebration Continues
We're extending the release period for these celebration minimals to be available in herding for just a few more days - they will be removed from herding at 17:59:59 on 7th September, so collect them while you can!
Along with all other celebratory Minimals, these will return in the future next time we celebrate a relevant milestone or achievement! Which milestone will we achieve next?
Captain Finn Announces New Discoveries
Ahoy, Adventurers! Captain Finn has exciting news to share. Anglers across Santae are whispering about the appearance of Rare New Fish at fishing spots.
Cast your line and try your luck! Anglers who hook the colorful Dreamweaver Koi are said to be blessed with good dreams. The rare Guardian Serpent is the stuff of legend -- are you skilled enough to catch one? Or perhaps you'll seek the Flameheart Emberfin: A daring catch!
All of the hard work Adventurers are doing to continue fishing the waters of Santae and removing more and more trash and pollution is really paying off. The return of these fish is a sign that Santae's seas and rivers are truly healing!

Pet Name Changes
Now that we've opened our doors to Alpha Testers, you'll be able to create your pets again, with one unique change - Pet Names will no longer be unique!
Instead, a new system has be applied where the "first" pet of a given name will receive a First Edition badge on their pet profile. This applies to Pet Creation, hatched Harlowin Eggs and Evolved Quibblets!
This is purely aesthetic and has no gameplay-changing or functional use!
We've also taken your feedback about this feature onboard, and while we know most people are excited for it, there are some who would prefer not to see the first edition badges on pets.
With that in mind, we have made available a new setting that you are now able to toggle - the ability to turn these badges off.
With them turned off, you wont see them on your own, or others profiles. We hope this is a fair compromise to allow all members of our community to have the experience they want when playing Santae!
Incredible Kickstarter Progress
The official Santae Kickstarter is underway now, and we are absolutely thrilled at the outpouring of support from our community. Not only was our goal fully funded in less than half an hour, we’ve also already achieved four of our exciting stretch goals!
We’ve now unlocked a new Pet Species and Pet Auras and Backgrounds — and our next stretch goal, another brand new pet species, is right around the corner!
Between all the exciting backer tiers and a rich selection of available add-ons, there’s something for every Santarian to enjoy. We’ve even recently expanded the Kickstarter add-ons to allow you to select the color of your choice when adding Phasmic, Seamso, or Kyree figurines!
